Photographer Nan Brown attended the San Francisco Art Institute in the early 1970’s. She has studied with Ansel Adams, Judy Dater, Mark Citret, and John Sexton. After moving to northeast California in 1975, Nan pursued a 15-year career in studio photography. She began teaching photography at Feather River College in 1988 and has exhibited extensively. Recently, Nan has shown her work in San Francisco, Portland, and Fort Collins, Colorado. Images from her series, Trailers Collected, are in the collection of Southeast Museum of Photography. In 2010 she won Black and White Magazine’s Excellence Award for her series, Intimations.
