Rembrandt van Rijn Etching Millennium Edition The Raising Of Lazarus.  Rembrandt, like many artist of the past, created both original paintings and original prints from copper plated etchings.  In either medium, Rembrandt was exceptional which accounts for his continuing fame.  Although nearly all of the original prints from these plates have been lost, the plates themselves have survived and been passed from museum to museum.  Recently, these original plates have been repaired to insure that accurate prints could once again be made and 2,500 copies were allowed to be made from these original plates.  We are very fortunate to have acquired one of these beautiful and rare prints from these original plates.
