While some Chico massage studios do not inquire about your health history, at Genesis Massage we know that your past and present health directly relate to your massage needs.  Consequently, on your first visit, I ask that you complete a short health history form that will help me provide the best spa service possible.

Upon reviewing the form, I will lead you into one of our relaxing spa treatment rooms and discuss your needs and expectations concerning your spa service.  I generally inquire about the nature of any injuries or soreness you have that relate to your massage treatment, your preferences with regard to firmness of pressure, and your goals for your massage treatment, and areas of sensitivity that could affect your massage. The purpose of your massage therapists' questions is to provide you with the best massage in Chico.

Our massage treatment room is designed for comfort, relaxation, and peace of mind. Once your massage therapist understands your massage goals, I will leave the room allowing you privacy while you disrobe and get comfortable on the massage table beneath the top sheet and blanket. Most massage clients prefer to disrobe completely when receiving a massage. Your comfort is essential to your massage and I encourage you to do what best fits your needs and comfort level.  You will be given ample time to complete this process and I will knock politely before entering to confirm that you are ready for the massage to begin.

Throughout your massage your will be draped with the topsheet and your massage therapist will only uncover that portion of your body that is being worked upon. If at any time you are uncomfortable it is essential that you inform your massage therapist so your modesty may be respected. When your session is complete, your massage therapist will advise you to take your time in getting up and dressed as the transition from a massage back to the real world is best when it occurs slowly.
