Hot stone massage involves the use of heated basalt rocks applied with massage lotion or oil to reach the deeper layers of muscle tissue.  The heat from the stones assist in warming the body more quickly and allowing access to deeper layers of muscle tissue, making hot stone massage an alternative to deep tissue massage.  At our Chico massage studio, we offer an 85 minute full body hot stone massage, which can be extended to whatever time the client prefers based on a prorated hourly rate.  During this massage, the massage therapist uses various sized basalt rock stones to induce deep full body relaxation.  Our hot stone massage therapists are amazing and you will not find a better hot stone massage at any Chico massage business or day spa.
